Engineering Technician

As an Engineering Technician, you will be taking an active role in technically documenting a Biogas Production Plant within the existing Green-Create Engineering and Development Division. This new position will facilitate the execution of procurement and construction documentation to successfully aid in the planning and construction of valuable new projects.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Understanding of typical components used within the Biogas production process and its associated infrastructure. (Piping, pumps, valves, and instruments etc)
  • Draughting or engineering background experience, preferably in process piping
  • Drafting P&ID’s for process equipment, preferably in waste to energy biogas plants
  • Experience with Instrumentation and valve hook-up details
  • Familiar and competent with AutoCAD 2D and 3D – Autodesk Plant 3D or Autodesk Inventor is a bonus
  • Incorporate review comments and changes
  • Work in a team to achieve project completion

    Maintenance manager

    As a Site Maintenance Manager, your role is to oversee the maintenance and repair of a biogas plant facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment functions optimally, minimizing downtime and maximizing plant efficiency. Additionally, you will manage a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties. As a crucial member of the national maintenance team, your actions will have a significant impact on the success of the biogas plant.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.

      Site Manager

      As a Site Manager, it is your role to keep the day-to-day operation of our biogas plant going. You will focus on safe working practices and the surrounding legislation, and will manage and directly supervise a team of site operators and maintenance operators. Working closely with the leadership team, you will oversee health and safety, environmental quality, and performance, personnel supervision, operational performance and continuous improvement of our plant.

        Biogas Plant Superintendent

        We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated team member, to join us in the operations of our high-tech biogas plant situated in Riche Terre, Mauritius. The Biogas Plant Superintendent will report to the Site Manager.

        • Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. Take ownership of the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, auxiliary equipment, laboratory equipment/ functions, methods and procedures involved in the testing of solids, liquids and gases present in the processes.
        • Understands and correctly interprets technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.

        • Experience with biological/chemical processes involved in wastewater treatment will be an advantage.
        • Good understanding of operational requirements for wastewater-related equipment namely pumps, blowers, sensors, parameter controllers, aerators, mixers, screens, etcetera.

          Trainee Operator

          Green Create (South Africa) is recruiting Trainee Operators at our Rustenburg AD plant for our traineeship program. The traineeship program is a 3-month training program in which candidates will be trained on how to operate an AD plant and understand the process and technical aspects of the plant. Candidates who successfully complete our trainee program and meet our requirements will be offered a position to join either our Wijster AD plant in the Netherlands or Kent AD plant situated in the United Kingdom. The offer will be made at the sole discretion of the company. Completion of the training program does not automatically qualify you for a position at one of our international plants.

            Maintenance Technician

            As a Maintenance Technician, you will be taught to operate the plant and drive towards general efficiency with technical capabilities to assist in the performance of maintenance in both a mechanical and electrical capacity. The aim would be to assist in performing equipment services as assigned and overseen by the Maintenance Manager. This position is available for our plant in Mauritius.

You will take ownership of the plant’s performance and tackle challenges to help Operations Leadership achieve its goals. This is a hands-on role where a willingness to learn and commitment to a safety culture will be crucial.
